A few years ago a family friend approached us with a problem. His mother lived in New Jersey and he lived in Texas, he couldn’t visit her as often as he felt was necessary. He spoke with her on the phone frequently and still didn’t feel that he was doing enough. He wanted someone to visit her in person and keep him up to date on basic concerns like; home safety, eating habits, activity level, physical appearance, basic indicators of health that he would observe in person if he could be there. He contacted several types of services and found that most had restrictions like four-hour minimums, they wanted to sell him services that she didn’t need, and they wouldn’t follow up with him after each visit.

We wanted to help.

Over the past few years we have worked out a solution to our friend’s problem. Along the way have heard many similar stories from other families and have incorporated their needs as well.
